We are Clare, Joy and Sue, the creative designers behind mondocherry. Inspired by colour, beautiful fabrics and gorgeous papers, our collections consist of original and highly detailed artworks and accompanying homewares.  

Handcrafted with dedicated attention to detail, all of our artwork collections are designed and created by hand in our Melbourne studio. Our limited edition homewares are also designed in-house to complement the current artwork collections.

We love colour and texture. We are drawn to all sorts of materials including beautiful textured papers, discarded old story books, texts and maps, hand printed fabrics and linens and other tactile materials. We are captivated by vibrant colours and muted tones, as well as the simplicity of white on white. We are fascinated with patterns and inspired by nature. With colour as our starting point, such inspiration is at the heart of all of our designs. 

While, the mondocherry artwork collection is diverse, each piece is presented on a white background, and ensconced in a custom made white timber frame, that is manufactured and fitted by an expert local framer. This style of framing allows each composition to speak for itself ensuring the frame captures the intricacy and vibrancy of the design. 

Complementing each artwork collection, we also design a range of exclusive homewares, where fabrics are printed in short runs in Melbourne. We carefully select the colours in all of our homeware designs to ensure all mondocherry products form a harmonious collection for your home.

In 2012, we opened our first colourful concept store, in the quaint Claremont village shopping strip in Malvern Victoria. This concept store allows us to showcase our artwork collections and accompanying homewares alongside our other favourite accessories and beautiful interior pieces. The concept store makes it easy for you to see and experience our collections and to visualise our mondocherry style your own home.
