Why handmade feels different

There is something special about bringing handmade pieces into your home. You can see the care, time, and craftsmanship in every detail. Tiny imperfections are evidence of the maker’s hand and tell the story of traditions and techniques passed down through generations.

Handmade pieces don't just decorate a room, they add character and help create a home that feels uniquely yours.

Try this at home

Look around your house for something made by hand and give it the spotlight for a week.

It might be a ceramic bowl, a hand-painted vase, an embroidered tablecloth, or even an artwork made by your children.

Don’t keep your most precious handmade items tucked away in a cupboard!

On our studio table

This week we have been concentrating on cutting hundreds of tiny paper petals!

We are working on a custom artwork in soft muted colours; paint on paint, texture on texture, and balancing detail with space to let every hand-cut and painted paper petal breathe.

Found beauty

An antique tablecloth embroidered one colourful stitch at a time.

The stitches aren’t perfect but each one speaks of hours making something beautiful enough to be used, loved, and passed on.
