These intricately woven bowls are created by craftswomen in southern Kenya using traditional techniques. The particular type of weaving used to create these baskets is called fine weave because it is woven with very thin sisal twine, making it a more intricate, time-consuming design. They are each stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces, rich in cultural meaning and purpose.
