Lola Donoghue works from her studio in Galway, in the west of Ireland. Her works evolve through a subtractive process, beginning with lots of colour to which many layers are added, both thick and transparent. Her work is light and fresh and the compositions are a delicate balance between concentrated colour and intricate linear forms.
